Voxtel provides high-volume manufacture of high-quality nanoparticles — including atomically precise metal, metal oxide, and semiconductor nanocrystal quantum dots. These quantum dots include those with organic stabilization, doping, and/or the use of core-multi-shell architectures — all with a level of quality not previously available.
We specialize in “green” nanocrystals, made from less toxic materials and with less waste, and our capability includes materials difficult to manufacture using conventional techniques. This specialty allows developers to go to market with less expensive products that are also free from the cadmium, lead, and other toxic materials found in common nanocrystals.
Voxtel’s uses high-volume fluidic and gas flow syntheses with continuous feedback control, allowing multi-kg quantities for many applications, as well as high quantum yield (QY), precise spectral response, and well defined HOMO and LUMO levels — free of defects.
Voxtel’s products are divided into three product families: (1) wide-bandgap nanocrystals, including several metal oxides, sulfides, and halides (ex. ZnO, ZnS, LaF3, YVO4) that are most often transparent and absorb in the ultraviolet; (2) narrow-bandgap nanocrystals, which absorb in the visible, near infrared, and short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) spectral regions (including various III-V and II-VI material sets such as CdS, CdSe, CdTe, PbS, PbSe, CdTe, InP, InSb, and SnTe), and (3) metal nanoparticles.
